Over 1,500 LED luminaires of the ILT, ILC and ILG series with an energy control system.
Budmat, as one of the leaders in the steel industry in Europe, was looking for a partner capable of carrying out a complete modernization of lighting in its production plants and logistics centers. The main goal was not only to reduce energy costs, but above all to improve work safety in halls where heavy machines and overhead cranes operate. The old sodium lighting system did not provide adequate color rendering and generated huge service costs.
The design process included a lighting inventory of several halls of various heights and purposes. We used diverse optics (60°, 90°, and asymmetric lenses in high-bay warehouses) to maximize luminous flux utilization. The entire system was integrated with daylight intensity sensors, allowing for automatic dimming of luminaires in zones brightened by roof skylights.
ANALYSIS AND VISUALIZATION
We start each project with a thorough analysis in the DIALux environment, which allows us to guarantee the final effect even before installation.
APPLIED TECHNOLOGY
High-Bay ILT series luminaires were installed in production halls, with power tailored to mounting heights (from 8 to 15 meters). In communication and storage areas, we used ILC linear systems, providing excellent lighting uniformity along warehouse aisles.
The implementation resulted in a spectacular improvement in working conditions – light intensity increased by an average of 150% while power consumption dropped by 72%. Thanks to the intelligent control system, the investor has real-time insight into energy consumption and can freely configure lighting scenes for individual production shifts.
